you're missing the point.

see, bobby runs these ads and then you have to come here to get help for whatever you get yourself into by reading his pocket filling ads!!! it actually is pretty ingenious if you ask me.......course, no one here has asked me anything in years........so......for whatever that would be worth.

i've asked you for your number several times doll. and to marry me. not calling you a fibber of course....

and, guess who's coming to town? none other than les claypool!

and about that ad. i saw that awhile back. thought about clicking on it then thought 'why tempt it?'

I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. But I suspect the funds run right through the pocket straight to paying the bills for hosting this site. If they even hit the pocket on the way...

It's an ad, not a demand.

i find it interesting that there is an ad here on how to have a discreet affair......without anyone knowing about it......hardly the thing for good mental health?or does the subject of the ads pass muster regardless?

and of course i know where the money goes. i'm much more interested in why that kind of ad is HERE..........

I blocked the adds too distracting and I didn't like a lot of them hence why I think the board is in trouble. Just what IIIII think. Love Phillipa

to clarify for those who send babblemails and may not understand where i'm coming from here.....

1. it is inappropriate, to me, to have an ad on a mental health forum telling you how to have a discreet sexual affair and not get caught.

2. that sort of thing ended my marriage. i think i'm allowed to be just a teensy big "triggered" by the ad.

3. i am not acting as if i don't know that it takes money to run this site. i just question where some of that money comes from.

4. i am pretty sure we're allowed to talk about how we feel about ads here. last time i checked, it wasn't in the FAQs that we had to keep our mouths shut about EVERYTHING.

5. if you want to challenge me on it, do it on the site and not in a babblemail. and especially if you're a deputy.

You and I have a personal relationship outside of this board. I sent a personal message; one I did not expect to see referred to in any detail on a public forum.

Frankly, I'd be more worried about an ad for indiscreet affairs.

Poison-Penned Babblemail

I agree with: "Pfft!" I agree with Fayeroe completely although I'm not sure I can pronounce it.

It's easier to get in little digs and jabs with a babblemail that might otherwise be challenged on the open forum.

But let's not cry foul when someone *redirects* the babblemail to the forum. Which I think is completely proper. Many of us prefer an open exchange - not a poison-pen letter.

My time on PB is short. Let me conclude: Don't babblemail anything you wouldn't shout from the rooftop or post on the board.

Verne

If it was Bob ot paying his bills, the site would be down and wouldn't have come back up.

The reason, I am guessing, that it happens on sunday's is down to traffic.. more people accessing it at that time.

Nikki I would agree if the weather hasn't been so nice lately. And from personal e-mails saying what's wrong with babble. So if the e-mails maybe you're right???? Love Phillipa

Sorry, I don't understand.

The weather has been nice? How is that connected to babble and bob leaving? Do you think he would only leave if the weather were nice?

I'm just asking that you stop posting about it with the frequency you are, it as there really is no substance to it. *Everyone* is allowed a break. Have you considered that Bob might just be taking a much needed vacation? His wife might have had a new baby. Or, he might have suffered a family loss and needing to spend time with them.

There really *really* is nothing to suggest that Dr Bob has gone for good and is closing babble down. I have so much more faith in him than to think he would do that.

May I have permission to leave this topic, board as it is really no concern of mine what or where he is . Actually I don't care and if he's on vaction good for him. Bye. Phillipa
