Dr. Hsiung and rayww.
I come to this discussion as a friend of the forum to give my thoughts about how this situation appears to me and how the administrative rules apply.
First, the rule in question here is mentioned prominatly on the opening page of the faith forum. The rule states that there is a principle that is to be followed in posting that [...whoever dares to say: Outside the church there is no salvation is to be driven...].
In rayww's post in question, rayww writes,[...He, (God}, says that Jesus is the only way to Him.] and, [...No other way is given by God, except through the salvation offered by Jesus...].
The forum has to consider the following;
A. Does the post say what one would be driven from the community for? ie; [...that whoever dares to say tha there is no salvation outside of the church...]
B. Is the rule violated by rayww's post

Dr. Hsiung and rayww,
The next thing that has to be considered is:
C. Is the rule consistant with the forum's goals?
The purpose of the forum is for support and education. Thearfore, one must consider if rayww's post is "supportive".

Dr. Hsiung and rayww,
The next thing for consideration is:
D. Can the rule be violated by writing
1. "I belive"
2. "the bible says"
3. "christians belive that"
4. "I feel that"
5. "so -and-so says that"
6. "the book of such-and-such says that"

Dr. Hsiung and rayww,
My last consideration is:
Would the moderator's decision amount to discrimination, which would put down those of other faiths, such as in this case, Jews, Moslems, Buhuudists, Hindus, and all other faiths?

Friends,
My input as amicus curie to the first question, (does the post say what is prohibited from saying)ie; [...whoever says that there is no salvation outside of the church...]
Rayww writes,[...No other way is given by God, {except} through the salvation offered by Jesus...].
This statement , by using the word "except",appears to say that only those that accept the offer of God's salvation through Jesus are saved.
Does this also say ,[...there is no salvation outside of the "church"?...].

Dr. Hsiung and rayww,
In considering if rayww's post [..dares to say that there is no salvation outside of the church...], I say that it indeed states that.
I do not think that it is protected by any means even by saying that the bible says that.
I consider your treatment toward me to violate your own policy because you threaten me with expulsion if I was to write that my God has revealed Himself to me and has a commandment to me that I shall not have any other Gods before Him. You put me up to public ridicule, accusing me ,(falsly) of saying that I am telling others to belive in my God and that my foundation of my faith puts down those of other faiths an that my faith is not supportive. Are you saying that rayww's foundation of his/her faith does not put down those of other faiths and tjat it is supportive? Rayww says that God says that Jesus is the {only way} to Him and that there is no other way given by God except through the salvation offered by Jesus. I did not say that there is one God. On the contrary, I said that my God has reveled Himself to me and has a commandment to me that I shall have {no other} Gods before Him. There are other Gods, it is that my God does not want me to have other Gods that overrull Him because there are Gods that allow the murder of children and my God does not want me to murder children. There are Gods that allow fornication and adultery. My God does not want me to do that. You and anyone else are free to follow any God that you want, or no god at all and plese do not accuse me of saying that others are to have my God for I never said that.
You say that your forum is for support and that your thinking causes you to do what is good for the community as a whole. Is it good for the community as a whole to discriminate and allow rayww to violate your stated rule, over and over, and threaten me with expulsion if I was to post that my God has reveald Himself to me and has a commandmnet to me to have no other Gods before Him and say that the foundation of my faith puts down those of other faiths? I never wrote that my God should be followed for any reason, but rayww says that Jesus is the only way and you allow it. You also allowed him/her to say that other faiths that have an agenda that is not founded on jesus is of the "worst", "wrong" type. Well my faith is founded on an agenda that is not founded on christiandom's jesus and I do not think that it should be catorigised in a group of "wrong" or "worst" anything.
You say that you do what will be good for the community as a whole. Are you saying that it will be good for the community as a whole if Lou is not a member of the community because his foundation of his faith is not supportive but rayww's is?
Goodbye
Lou Pilder

Why are you exiting? This is not a short term problem. This is a long term struggle.
Who are you Lou?
Why do you leave in such a hurry?
You raised some really good questions.
Why ask and run?
just curious

Jai,
You asked, [...why are you leaving...?].
Oh,I see that on my post that I said "goodbye". Well, "goodbye " could mean a temporary departure as well as a permanate departure. I just finished a call to my daughter in Hoboken. She said,"goodbye", but she will call again.
You wrote,[...this is a ...long-term struggle...]
Could you expound upon what it is that you are you referring to as the struggle?
You wrote,[...you raised some good questions...].
Which ones are you referring to? Do you have ananswer to any of them that you would like to post?
Lou

Hey Lou, I 'm so glad you are staying for a while. Your style of asking questions leaves me stumped. Sorry.
Glad you are going to stay around.
