I have been taking agmatine and scopolamine which (for me) seems to produce a rapid effect. I have been doing a bit better.

Nortriptyline by itself probably brought me up to 75%. Unfortunately, I haven't had the energy or drive to write letters or call companies.

I can certainly relate. For me, both amotivation and anergia prevented me from functioning. Things around the house become cluttered and disorganized. Depression prevents me from putting things back where they belong after I use them.75% in HUGE.

Good to hear!! So, scopolamine, that is only available in a needle shot, no? Have you tried Benztropine? Problem for me is, that stuff really messes with my memory. And I am at the age where I am worrying about Dementia. But...what about amitriptyline?? It's cheap, and on the WHO list of essential medicines. And over time, no antidepressant has seemed to perform better than it. (Even over imipramine.)

Yes. Bella-Donna (Atropa belladonna) contains atropine.* Trivia: The nickname "Bella-Donna" is roughly translated to "Pretty woman". Beginning as early as ancient Egypt, woman placed a small amount of Bella-Donna extract in their eyes, just as an ophthalmologist would use atropine eye drops in order to dilate the pupils for an exam. Atropine, being anticholinergic, caused women's pupils to enlarge in order to look more attractive to men. Scopolamine is also an anticholinergic. It replaced atropine, for the most part.

I think it depends on the part of the plant. I believe the berries are mostly atropine, but the root contains more scopolamine and hycosamine. I'll have to look it up. I purchased a whole plant extract tincture where a single drop is too much. I have to dilute a single drop in water. The vapours from the bottle can also produce intoxication.
Either way, the tincture seems to have a similar effect to the patch. The scopolamine patch is OTC in Canada, but costly ($15 for 2, 24h patches). I got the tincture a few years ago as a more cost effective route.
As mentioned, a combination of agmatine, belladonna are helpful (and my homemade rtms). I am a bit reluctant to self medicate like this, but mental health care in Canada is broken, and few doctors would understand the nuances of where I'm at.

Yes. I have combined the scopolamine patch with agmatine (another rapid acting antidepressant substance) with good results. The patch was a bit too costly, however, which is why I got some belladonna extract.
Scopolamine is thought to cross the BBB a bit more readily than atropine, but they both have strong CNS effects. They are both anticholinergics.
