I've noticed that some meds seem to increase personal goal directed behavior, while others seem to promote more collectivist type behavior (i.e. desire to be and work with others).
For me, Effexor tends to make me a bit more selfish, whereas escitalopram seems to be make me a bit more comfortable working with others. The difference is subtle, but I refer to it as an internal / external balance, where some meds seem to increase the internal focus, whereas others increase external focus.
