Parnate: 2.5 months in + still waiting... hoping

Posted by nystrele on December 10, 2017, at 16:53:28

Hello comrades--as a treatment resistant social phobic, my doc prescribed parnate. I am up to 60mg, the typically go-to effective dose. I've worked my way here for 2 months and the profound dizziness that I have felt from the start continues...
the low blood pressure is so profound that it has pretty much hijacked my ability to live a normal life as i continue to WAIT to see if this med will actually RELIEVE MY ANXIETY (It has not) in fact, i fainted two nights ago.
As well, all talk about how it brings on so much energy... I have yet to enjoy. Instead, I have horrible daytime fatigue followed by some lasting insomnia at night.
This med costs a FORTUNE... and it is truly last resort for me.
I have read that it can take up to 3 months to work. I am at the 2.5 month mark... just spent $400 for 3-month supply... but my faith for change is beginning to ebb.
Any perspective would be appreciated.

have you tried lyrica or benzodiazepines? dependence is an issue, but they're less expensive and the bzd drugs have a long history of making intense anxiety more bearable.

just a thought.
