weed

Posted by rjlockhart37 on July 10, 2016, at 17:56:03

i've noticed with people who smoke weed, it teaches them to relax but sometimes in the long run makes them unmotivated and lazy......taking it easy all the time, which is not bad but if you look at the whole picture it makes you dulled

well....same thing with benzo's and sedating medications but i've just noticed from my personal sight it makes you lazy....

i can't smoke weed, it acts as a psychdellic with me more than chills me out, everything stops making sense and i go into a panic

but has anyone realized that?

wake n bake isn't the way to go for most people. Some people w/ psychiatric problems do better smoking weed than conventional treatments (or do both).

I imagine weed is probably less of a problem than a lot of prescriptions, including (especially?) the one's in the psychiatrist's tool kit.

yea i know i guy who takes xanax and zoloft and smokes weed, adderall too.....some of these people i've met in school have been prescibed adderall and xanax alot.....there both a well known term amoung students, i don't understand how doctors juice some of these people up, even with hydrocodone sometimes.....it's not really treatment, it's more like going to a street doctor, i'm like dude where in the hell are these doctor that are you this stuff??? obviously there not worried about addiction, they just slam anxity with xanax

but yea weed, i can't smoke weed, i've done it twice....the weed i smoked though was hydro....its like the potent form of it, and i smoked it and it's like everything stopped making sense, what i was seeing, what people where saying to me, it was like reality was disconnecting.... i don't know why it would have that effect on me but it happened twice

still weed does make you relax and take the easy day life.....it's a good antidepressant on some people, cannabis must have some psychoactive properties to produce feelings of well-being, don't know it's mechanism of action, i do know that it effects the cannaboid or something receptors in the brain, just like nicotinic receptors, weed has it's own target in the brain, not sure how it effects GABA, alcohol and benzo's induce more gaba release and channel openings

Wow just read a new study about this the other day (weed use and dopamine/reward). From 3 days ago:

Isn't it good to have something rewarding in a life of un-reward?

I wouldn't say its addicting. You just injoy feeling better! Use does not go up. Its not like opiates.

It does not make you lazy, just when you are high. I've done it at work, and never had a problem of being lazy, never fired..

If its having a psychadelic effect, you've done too much or takin a too strong a strain. Hence hydro.

Weed is not as harmless as many people think it is.

I get very anxious on it and for some time i even thought that i had some kind of damage from it mentally.

I dont like it at all.

its the high levels of THC in the absence of CBD that makes you anxious. If you have a weed with equal amounts of cbd as thc that does not happen. when I smoked some very high level weed, sativa, with high levels of thc and no cbd or very little, I get anxious as fuck till it wears off in an hour or so. But the indica with some cbd oil, a very pleasant effect, and lowers anxiety. Yes the cbd is more effective with a little weed. And has helped my comfort levels around people. plus I've learned that the best way is with less weed, not alot. Very small amounts.

was it the fear of being high? did it go away after a couple hours?

Hmm i dont know what it was. Yes it went away the next day. Most of it. However from that point forward i wasnt feeling very well at all. I wasnt feeling well before either or i wouldnt have had the idea of "i want to get high".

I went to the hospital a couple days later and there i added Trazodone which has led to discharge.

I think weed is not as harmless as many people think it is.

Your right it does make you dulled. the weed the pills. some of my best experiences with people were when I went off my meds. Its great for a day or 2. then you lose it..

Might be why I go up and down on dose.

i don't think canabinoids are the way for you to go.

I remember when I started smoking hash at 16. I absolutly loved the way it made me feel. I would smoke tiny bits all day long. I don't remember it making me anxious. except when I worried I would get cought.

when I smoked a high grade sativa. anxiety and could not function. I would just pass out on the spot. People tried to get me up but I couldn't. I hated the way that made me feel. go figure..

Thanks! You describe me perfectly! Though hypersomnia is always high on the cards with me too. Every now n then I come accross weed that 'lifts' rather than 'mongs' and despite psychedelia (mainly eyes-closed geometrics) in large doses (esp eating it) there is no paranoia. So what are the canabinoids that can cause the paranoia?
I'm currently reducing doses of all my meds with the aim to switch, but the weed I got, hoping it will help knocks me clean out and sleeping 16hrs daily.

Sativa is poison. Indica is unpleasant, too but not as bad as Sativa. CBD on its own does not reduce anxiety for me. It actually causes it after a few days.

I am never trying that (weed) again.
