I had a seizure and collapsed. They found a brain tumour in the hospital. I had surgery to remove a benign meningioma from the frontal lobe. The operation was ten weeks ago. I am taking 500mg Keppra twice daily. How long will I have to continue taking this for ? I do not have epilepsy.

Hi Bob.
I think that this is a question your doctors should be able to answer for you. I don't know why they haven't done so already. Do you have confidence in them?
I doubt that anyone here would be able to answer your question. This forum concentrates on the treatment of psychiatric disorders for which Keppra is sometimes used. Of course, it may be that someone here really does know the answer, but that would be a coincidence. It doesn't hurt to ask, though.
I am very glad that your tumor was benign.
