Just for the record,in case anyone does not already know the french already had a WONDERFUL working AD.Amineptine a dopamine reuptake inhibitor.Goodle it and user ratings.People praised this med as it was said to save lifes. It even get this caused spontonous orgasims lol.

Story goes the FDA put international pressure and had it banned from what i heard caused acne to its abuse potential.

Well people worry about being addicted to a pill so much, but life is short,we could pass tommorrow,if being dependent on a pill allows me to function and be part of life im ok with being dependent on it.I recomend reading on AMIPTINE and see the success it caried.

Amineptine demonstrated abuse potential and was banned from the Olympics as a performance-enhancing drug. I believe it was also responsible for cases of liver failure.

Maybe the new triple-reuptake inhibitors will help take the place of amineptine. These drugs do inhibit the reuptake of dopamine along with norepinephrine and serotonin.

Sometimes I think any substance with a possible benefit on ones health/mental health should be made available to the public, at least by prescription.

It seems like only allowing chemicals that "benefit the most birds with one stone?" leaves the more rare, treatment resistant cases out in the cold.

NRX-1074

This drug is a few years away - maybe sooner if the FDA would fast-track it.

For depression, hydroxynorketamine (HNK) might be developed. It is a metabolite of ketamine that can be taken orally, and does not produce dissociative or psychotic reactions.

Personally, I would like something that more directly boosts levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). People with bipolar disorder seem to have low levels of this natural substance. Resveratrol might help. I don't know.

I totaly agree, from what i was told pipeline meds are 17 years in making, hell iil be old by then.

I never heard of Amiptine spelled it wrong causing liver damage, not saying it dident, but all i did hear was it was a excellent succesful mood ehancer, people on groups still talk about it as if they in mourning. From what i understood and i could be wrong that the reason it went under was from international pressure from our FDA.Neverthe less it seemed whee ever you read user ratings on it to have been a treasure.

There are about a dozen articles on Medline regarding amineptine and liver toxicity. It seems that in most cases, if caught early enough, liver function returns to normal quickly after discontinuation.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8884331

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2131927

Wikipedia reports that the two major reasons for the withdrawal of amineptine in France were abuse potential and liver toxicity.

I think your attitude towards life is awesome. We live in the now and its possible to end anytime.

We need to use whatever there is available to live without pain and suffering.

I agree hell alcholol and aspirin can damage the liver.Nothing worth living with your brain as your enemy and living on the sidelines of life.

If liver issues were a problem, the med still held such a success rate id take it and have random liver checks but damn it i want a working med as an option.
