irritability from Provigil?

Posted by porkpiehat on September 16, 2015, at 13:51:20

The first time I took provigil (adrafinil actually) I got sweaty, trippy, and somewhat afraid. It all went away when I took my morning klonopin and lamictal. At that point it has helped me with concentration and mood.

I've been taking it on and off for a couple of weeks as I'm worried about my liver. The last two times I took it I felt myself getting irritable and somewhat nervous.

I thought provigil was supposed to not have these effects, but drugs with adrenergic effects tend to hit me sideways (buspar, wellbutrin, serzone, desipramine).

Can these effects build over time with this drug? I'm wondering if I should just put it down altogether.

adrafinil is an earler version of wakepromoting agent..... has dirty side effects, provigil and nuvigil are more cleaner and less prone make you figit and be like you had too much caffeine.....

ask about modifinil or armodafinil......those are cleaner versions, and mainly ust helping with wakefulness......

nuvigil is the best clean version, but unfortunatly it is expensive........i would take magesium supplement if continue to take provigil, but some reason i thought you said you where taking adrafinil, that is a dirty version of provigil, yet it does work...but you have to deal with some road bumps.....nerviousness anxiety etc....

I shelled out of pocket for 50mg nuvigil. I held off on in until 12:30pm. It gave me the same edgy nervousness for the first hour or so but after I took my klonopin it was less so.

I still felt a little too activated and definitely noticed increased HR/BP...I've been wondering how it would mix with Brintellix, which I have used a in the past as an anxiety/concentration adjunct. Brintellix will traditionally take the edge off vyvanse for me, and the vyvanse will lift the the apathy from Brintellix.

Hoping nuvigil would be a good match with Brintellix, I popped a 5mg of Brintellix and boy did I feel worse...Headache, congestion, impatient, worse CV effects.

Now I'm reading that they have similar means of action. Not sure if I'll take it again unless I'm feeling really foggy.

I have the some reaction to provigil (modafinil); uncomfortable overactivation. At the same time, I suffer from sluggishness and fatigue that never seems to go away.

I'm not endorsing this idea, but personally, I've had best results with low-dose vyvanse. It feels much less harsh to me than 200mg provigil. Another option would be taking a much lower dose of provigil, to better control your level of arousal.

A good comparison of modafinil vs adderall can be found here: http://www.brainprotips.com/article/modafinil-vs-adderall/
