I'm doing pretty good. Unfortunately, the Depakote caused all kinds of problems. The first 5 days I felt great, really "normal". But after a few weeks, it messed with my liver enzymes, caused acne (never had that before), and the worst was the cystitis, no sex drive.

So I'm back to Trileptal. My good old stand-by. I still take Geodon, mainly for depression, but dosing Trileptal 3 times throughout the day works great and cuts down on the side effects I was getting from it by taking it all at once.

I find a baby dose (75mg) of Trileptal is much better than Klonopin for anxiety. I've also found taking Trileptal in the evening helps with sleep and doesn't make me groggy the way Klonopin does in the morning.

I'm being super careful with my caffeine intake. And I've wondered for years if the Adderall added to Geodon wasn't causing some mania, so I'm laying off the Adderall.

I'm keeping it as simple as I can. Geodon & Trileptal. Klonopin only if needed (or just sub more Trileptal in place of Klonopin). No Adderall, I cup of caffeine a day. I know for sure Adderall + caffeine was big time mania fuel. I loved the high and the energy, but the combination was terrible for my mood. My doc has told me to lay off the caffeine and only take the Adderall.
Right now I'm just taking things easy.

I think I've exhausted all traditional mood stabilizers.

Now I just need to get some of this weight off.

Spoke to doc. She said Trileptal can reduce Geodon.

She wants me to go back and push Geodon to 160mg. If I need to supplement with Klonopin its ok.

I'm going to give it some time before I add Adderall (even though she's fine with me taking Adderall).

My goal is to reach a point of total stability, even if I add a small dose of Adderall. We'll see what I have to do in order to get there.

Maybe she'll rethink the Trileptal + Geodon.

I wasn't aware that there is an interaction between Geodon and Trileptal. Your doctor is correct. However, I don't know to what degree Trileptal reduces the blood level of Geodon.

Are you taking Geodon with meals?

Actually, I failed Trileptal. I've tried taking it over and over again, but it makes my muscles stiff and my joints hurt. I had to drop it. I think I've failed all anticonvulsants, so they are marked off my list of possibilities.

I'm only taking 160mg Geodon and it's actually working great.

That's great news! I hope it continues.
