I read about this a few days ago.
One major caveat in interpreting the results of this study is that it only included stimulating the ventral capsule and striatum. The original series of studies reporting success implanted the electrodes in either the subgenual cingulate / Brodman's area 25 (Mayberg) or the nucleus accumbens.

They short circuit the nucleus accumbens when traeting OCD.

Yes. I've seen that, too. Interestingly, one of my doctors has a patient who underwent DBS for OCD. It didn't help with the OCD, but it did resolve the depression. I don't know what anatomical structure was targeted.

It appears that another major double-blind clinical trial of DBS for depression has failed. St. Jude Medical terminated their BROADEN study of DBS targeting the subgenual cingulate, after the FDA informed the company that it would fail the required futility analysis. The difference between the treatment group and the sham group was insufficient to establish efficacy.
Some patients did benefit, many did not, and some were left with terrible adverse effects and impairments.
There's an interesting article that came out recently and appears to be quite accurate with its facts.
