Interest in activities once found enjoyable? 100%

Posted by Lamdage22 on June 19, 2015, at 10:39:54

I am back :) Due to depression i never thought that this may be possible without a medication that works as a serious antidepressant.

Well it is possible!

Oh and i am on 700mg Seroquel now.

My doctor says its a bad combination. I think he is right.

Two sedating fattening ones.

This is all very good to hear, Lamdage. What factors do you think have led to your improvement?

Its not that easy to say. Maybe i was homesick. I moved back to my hometown in Germany couple weeks ago. That was within my control.

My parents are doing a great job.

Many things that are not really within my control honestly, i got lucky.

Social support is so very important and yet no one talks about it, especially here.

maybe i even tried to get over what was mostly homesickness by taking meds.

I have learned my lesson.

I think that in a lot of cases, it can be difficult to determine what factors likely led to the improvement in a mental condition. And though I think that it can be nice to know exactly what it was that brought about improvement, I think that the most important thing is that you are indeed doing better. I tend to think that staying in your hometown for the time being would be a good idea, since you have been noticing improvements since you've been back there, and I also think that continuing to participate in activities that can boost your psychological well being would be beneficial for you. I think that the important thing for you right now is to maintain your improvement, and I certainly hope that you'll be able to do that by continuing to do the things that have worked for you so far.
