canaries in a coal mine

what if that's all we are? I mean, there's psychosis and such in ever society, even close knit traditional ones, but in some societies...they don't torment you for being crazy. Now, in America, on the other hand...

apparently, everybody's going crazy. We all need our Abili-quel and counseling, therapy, self-help, etc.

You think treatment in the US today is bad? Go to India and see what treatment in this "close-knit" society is like. Hell-holes, snake pits. That's what it used to be like here also. State hospitals where people were locked up for years and years.
I spent 2 years in a state hospital as a teen. An awful place. Very few useful drugs. A scary and sad place. Be grateful for abili-quel. You are lucky to live in a time where psychosis can be controlled by drugs. You wouldn't like the alternative.

Well, as I said, it was a sad and scary place and I was a very disturbed child. But it turned out there was a counselor there to whom I became very attached and he helped me enough to survive on my own when I was released from state care at 16.
