You need to discuss this with your doctor, or an alternative medical professional.

These medications can cause anhedonia. This combo is almost designed for it, it seems.

I believe the prescription of two SSRIs (which can blunt emotions) is overkill.

You are on a very low dosage of Luvox, however. Do you plan on tapering off the Lexapro and switching to Luvox? This is what I would suggest.

Also, Seroquel can cause these symptoms of forgetfulness, regardless of your low dosage. In fact, I feel like your dosage does nothing but negativity since it isn't even touching the receptors necessary. I would switch to an alternative antipsychotic. Latuda (lurasidone) is an antipsychotic that has been proven to be cognitively friendly.

I would also augment something to help with your anhedonia. I would begin taking Wellbutin XL 150mg. It is an activating antidepressant commonly augmented to SSRIs. It may help you.

While you're at it, I think methylphenidate may be something to consider to be prescribed with your bupropion script. Focalin is definitely a great option. I think having two 5mg. IR tabs would definitely help get you going. I'd take one in the morning to kick start your day and then one later on.

I would try something like this:

Fluvoxamine extended-release 100mg. QHS
Latuda 40mg. QHS
Wellbutrin 150mg. QAM
Focalin 5mg. x 2

Why do you prefer luvox to Lexapro? I have been taking both together for a few years now. Low dose 25mg of luvox and 2.5 mg of Lexapro. the Lexapro I can stop the luvox unable to stop as then can't sleep for nights. One time a pdoc gave me high doses of benzos to stop this dose of luvox for a baseline, ended up in ER after no sleep for two weeks. I have also been on low dose benzos for over 44 years now? So should I expect to get Alzheimers? I'm only asking as they only work to allow for sleep? Thanks Phillipa

I thought Luvox would have an advantage since it targets certain symptoms more specifically such as OCD (or forms of anxiety), but its short half life may lead to a harsh discontinuation syndrome.

What medication are you currently taking?

If you're not taking any and you're still feeling these symptoms then it is purely psychosomatic, and you may need consult a PDOC to treat that.

First of all, what are you treating?

There's no point in taking 50 mg of Fluvoxemine and 150 mg of Seroquel is just enough to make you sleepy and not much else.

If you are treating depression, the anhedonia may just be a symptom of your illness and indicates your curret medication regimen is inadequate to treating it.

Memory loss may be attributable to the Seroquel, but I doubt you would lose all your memory from such a small dose.

I would recommend starting over with just a single antidepressant.

Eric
