I've not been taking it long, but it seems to reduce intrusive thoughts. I seem more sorted on it.

That's great. I hope you feel even better over time.

I'm still having trouble popping a truly robust response out of my treatment regime:

Parnate 100 mg/day
nortriptyline 150 mg/day
lithium 450 mg/day
Lamictal 200 mg/day
minocycline 200 mg/day
prazosin 25 mg/day

I am considering increasing the dosage of Parnate to 120 mg/day and staying with it for a week or two. I have some Focalin to work with, but I think I'll try the Parnate first.

You got me beat by one. Perhaps that's a dubious honor. :-)

How are you doing?

Hey, buddy!

I've been doing pretty good, honestly. I'm trying to get into the routine of completely my studies now so at least I got that going for me to break the boredom.

I've been noticing you in a few posts around the forum mentioning an interest in Latuda. Give it a shot. It is hands down the BEST psychiatric medicine I have tried to date. Better than Abilify which I thought was the best. My weight is slipping off AND I am: calmer, collected, less depressed, etc. My parents and PDOC both even said, "I've noticed that you're a lot better since you've been on the Latuda." Look into it.

I hope you're doing good too, bud. How's things going on your end?

Did you have difficulties concentrating on reading previously? When the NIH accepted me as a research patient, I told them that I didn't really give a darn if they could fully cure me, as long as they could get me to read, learn, and remember.

THIS IS CRUCIAL INFORMATION for me. Thank you very much. May I ask what dosage of Latuda you are taking?

> I hope you're doing good too, bud. How's things going on your end?

My bipolar depression is too variable, and remains severe. My response to treatment is not robust enough for me to build a life around. I vary between 25 - 40% improved. It's not enough in order for me to return to employment, but is welcome and appreciated.

I hope things continue to move in a positive direction for you. It must feel goooooooooood. :-)

Take care.

It was in my original post that listed my cocktail: 60mg., but I will share my journey with Latuda.

I started out with 40mg., and it produced "the fear"-- I can't describe it. An irrevocable feeling of terror that lasted all day. Imagining thinking of every life choice you've made and questioning it. Imagine not wanting to leave bed. Literally trying to think of anything but the negative thought patterns erupting in your head over and over. I'm surprised I decided to go to 80mg., but I thought a dosage increase would somehow alleviate the symptoms. Like a miracle, I got better. A lot better!! I don't understand how this could be. It's like now I'm "into" my life choices and proud of the person I am now thanks to Latuda, but the initial dosage made me hate myself? How? I'm not sure, but the pharmacology of the medicine is really interesting; I think it is robust for my bipolar depression symptoms.

I hope you get better, Scott.

I stopped the Latuda and went back to Invega. I find Invega treats my OCD/Anxiety symptoms better. I was hoping it would provide more mood stabilization, but it does not. Right now I'm struggling with keeping my mood stable-treating my OCD with an antidepressant overcomes the lithium I also take.

You have such a random assortment of medications. You're also hitting just about every neurotransmitter you can. How are you failing to get a 'truly robust' response out of your regime? What is the key symptom you seek to eliminate?

Eric, what mood stabilizers have you tried? I'm sure you've had a blood test on your lithium levels?

Maybe you should augment a mood stabilizer? The better option would be to see if your doctor would prescribe pregabalin over the 600mg. max suggested dose. I got a good response at 1,200mg. pregabalin in the past. 300mg. QID I got off that dosage for awhile and now I take 1,200mg. gabapentin which is weaker but gets the job done. Trying not to get my tolerance to insane levels again. I would say 1.2 grams of Lyrica a day made me psychologically the most stable I've ever been as well as the happiest I've ever been, but the cognitive defect was simply too much to handle. Your mileage may vary.

...and I'm cross-tapering off of Zyprexa for the next six weeks. So that makes six meds for right now.

I've been on Carbamazapine, Lamictal, Trileptal, Depakote, Lyrica, Gabapentin, Topomax and lithium. Except for lithium, all the others gave me too many problems/side effects. My lithium levels are therapeutic.

This combo worked great for me (just change the ritalin with vyvanse). Sometimes I wish I were back on it
