Is it still on the market somewhere? Who is producing this?

Its stil available. For some it seems to be a miracle.

I wanna try it. It seems to me that SSRI or Tricyclics would come down hard on sexual function.

Lamdage:

I'm not sure who produces it, but I took 1200-1600mg a day for most of 2011. (That's a pretty high dosage, I think.) It didn't do squat for my anxiety disorder and depression. On the positive side, I didn't have withdrawals when quitting cold turkey, so who even knows what's going on with that stuff. Anything is worth a try, I think, though, as we all react differently to these meds.

That sure is a hell of a dose! I have read some pretty positive reviews about it.

The psychiatrist I've been seeing is open to anything for me. I just wish something would work! My memory of Serzone is that it was like taking nothing. I wish I could give you more positive feedback. But that doesn't mean it won't work for you, right? It's just impossible to know with these meds, which will work and which won't. Good luck!

Yes, I am on nefazodone. I just went to check my bottle to tell you the maker -- mine is from Teva USA. The company with the right to the name brand Serzone chose to take that off the market due to a rare liver risk, so the name brand Serzone can no longer be had (I was never on the name brand, it was before my use of the med), but the FDA never took the medication off the market, so the generic can still be made.

I am pleased with it, at least enough to stay on it. I am taking 100 mg in the morning and 100 mg at night. My pdoc had as a goal initially to get me to a higher dose, but the urinary side effect that had gotten too bad with despiramine (and was the cause of me stopping desipramine) started to show up with nefazodone, but was dose-dependent, so this is where I'm at, and it seems to be okay. (The symptom I get is frequent pressure like I need to urinate, but then I do so, and the pressure is still there. My current use of nefazodone is at a tolerable level, meaning not too much of the urinary pressure most of the time.)

I tried only one SSRI, so still some to go

Thats probably the course of action now.

I hope for a strong response to one of the SSRIs without anorgasmia.
