Dropping three meds

Seroquel is a great drug if it doesn't kill you. It caused Dystonia and major weight gain.

Added Metformin for weight gain. A miracle drug and my blood work improved too. As soon as you get past the sh*tt*ng in your pants stage it's great.

Added Benztropine, a wicked anticholinergic, to treat Dystonia. Worked like a charm except it's side effects are right up there with Seroquel. Just different.

I still have Lithium, Lamictal, Clonazepam, and if I want to paint a house, Adderall.

I'm not real fond of antipsychotics and if I can get by without them I will. Actually, I'm not too fond of any drugs right now. Who is?

These three will be gone soon. Oh, just added two more drugs for stomach-esophagus conditions. I'm at the pharmacy constantly. Scream.

Actually, I am happy to hear that you are dropping the antipsychotics that weren't helping, and not messing any further with those.

And I am glad to hear that your esophageal issues can be addressed pharmaceutically.

I can, however, empathsize with your frustration with medicine overall, and being tired of going to the pharmacy again. Are you on first name terms with most of the staff as I am? That is not actually a comfort. The only thing they can't remember is my birthday. Which is quite alright by me.

I'm at .8 on Lithium so the doctor has room to up if needed. I don't like a pill that can make your trunk twist and make you lean to the left. Just something wrong there. I wouldn't give that to a dog.
I think I may be having trouble doing things because I'm so sedated. Although that's not always the case either.
I've been going to the same pharmacy for 15 years. Frank, Kathy, Sarah. It's not real busy and when I lost my insurance Frank said he would take care of me and he has. I moved 15 miles away and still go there. I have CVS and Walgreens a few blocks from me. They suck.

Only one is a psych med, the other two are for side effects.

Ironically when I began having hallucinations, I moved my dose from 300-450 because I was scared out of my mind. I haven't had one in four days after upping the dose.
day by day.

Like in the other post I upped the dose when the hallucinations started.

I see my doctor Friday but if Seroquel is stopping ongoing hallucinations, I'll take anything to make them stop.
