Deli Meats and Parnate

Posted by damnthislife on August 31, 2013, at 10:37:56

I just started Parnate this morning, I'm on 30mgs a day.

My question is, I cannot find really anything that says yay or nay to deli lunch meats. I normally have fresh cut boars head roast beef, or turkey breast from my local deli. I usually pile a nice sandwich for lunch, so 1 lb of lunch meat lasts me 5 days of the work week. I know salami and other things like that are a no-no, but what about roast beef and turkey breast if it's cut fresh and ate within 5-6 days?

Thanks!

I don't know I'd say smoked meats not good but I just do not know for sure. But in the archives since slow there will be a diet from other posters. Phillipa

Awesome, Thanks Baseball!

I found a few posts online after this and found that it was fine. I actually had some turkey breast yesterday and was fine. I actually had cooked pitbeef for dinner, and was fine as well. Though I don't think that would have been a problem at all.

Thanks again!

As I said to a previous poster, do be a little more careful than usual about eating meat much past it's use-by date. Even if it doesn't smell, it may have built up tyramine content.

Also, in response to your last post, parnate never made me the least bit tired. In fact it caused terrible insomnia, for which I still, after 3 years, take a sleep aid. For me, the immediate side effect was the postural hypotension. I started it while in a hospital, so they were all concerned about this, though I didn't feel dizzy at all.
