Posted by jono_in_adelaide on June 16, 2013, at 17:40:11

not great, but good

No feeling of dread every morning, no feeling while I'm at work that "I've got to get out of here right now"

Side effects are minor

I'm very happy i pushed hard to get it

Thanks for the update. I am very pleased that you are beginning to feel better.

What dosage of Nardil are you taking?

Hi Scott, taking 30mg three times a day, and have been for one week.

How good is good?

Patience is a virtue; one that I have very little of. You need to give this thing a minimum of 3 weeks to produce results. As you know, some people report waiting 3 months before responding. Now *that* is what I call patience.

Any orthostatic hypotension?

Not perfect, but a lot better than i was 2 weeks ago (when i didnt know how much longer I could hold on at work before I flipped out and became agrophobic again etc, and was continualy looking at my watch to see how long until I could take another Xanax)

I understand that its a waiting game, and i will likely get more improvement over comming weeks, which will be very welcome! It'd be nice to be able to reduce my reliance on Xanax, but we'll see.

No orthstatic hypertension (I have moderate HBP, was taking enalapril and hydrochlorothiazide, when I started the Nardil, I stoped the HCTZ)

So, all up, not fantastic, but Idont feel like the next stop is the nut house, which I was realy begining to worry about 2 weeks ago. Given I'm only 2 weeks in, I'm very happy with where I'm at.

Hey Jono,

I've only just started reading your posts; not sure if you've already posted some background info on yourself already-diagnosies, symptoms etc, but any chance you could do that? Also just curious, did you try Parnate before this? What else did you try before now? And how did you convince your doc to prescribe the Nardil? Apologies to all if I've posted in the wrong spot.

Cheers, Mo
