This is a very distressing symptom. I have difficulty breathing (shortness of breath) often soon after I start hearing voices. I went to the hospital a couple of days ago for this reason. They said that I was having an anxiety & panic attack, and they discharged me a script for Ativan. The problem here is that I can't get benzos from my pdoc. Would BuSpar help to quell the anxiety? What other my other options? If I eliminate the voices then the anxiety disappears.
Current med regimen: Saphris 10 mg, Zyprexa 20 mg, Invega Sustenna, Cymbalta 60 mg, & trazodone 50 mg.

If the voices leave with the benzo wouldn't that be better than three antipsychotics? Phillipa

It would be better if that was the case. The benzo didn't eliminate the voices. It amazes me that even on three APs I still hear voices. I would love it if I could take a benzo and just one AP.
