Weight gain psych meds or not

Posted by Phil on April 23, 2013, at 13:40:44

I saw a short interview with Matthew McConaughey yesterday and they were talking about all of the weight he lost for the role he's playing.

She asked him if he got too weak to exercise and he said, you know, 90% of weight loss is what goes in.

To me, that was a profound statement but I'm a bit of a simpleton..so...

It makes sense. You don't have to burn off a DQ Blizzard if you don't buy one in the first place.

I'm almost inspired. I'm going to run with this, tomorrow.

Run? What goes in must equal what goes out in energy. Phillipa

Run with the idea. I'm in no shape to run right now.

I find it's much more difficult to try to lose weight with exercise alone. In fact, for me, it's been impossible lol. The more I exercise, the more I eat. I don't have set meal times. I usually just eat whenever I want to and exercising always makes me eat more.

It's a good idea to exercise for health, but for me, it doesn't work well for losing weight. I actually always end up gaining weight when I exercise and it's not all muscle.

I lose weight very quickly when I'm counting calories but that's also been a bad idea for me because I can't maintain it.

I don't think psych meds affected my weight much when I was on them.

I've gained weight over the years, but now I'm off all meds and I'm still the same. I think it was just my eating habits that made me gain weight.

Hey Deneb I can do OK on eating for maybe five days then Seroquel whispers do-nuts in my ear. I can eat all day and just eat more.

My doctor said don't listen to your body. That's easier said than done when your body is telling you that your starving ten minutes after you eat.

I really feel for the millions of people that have struggled with obesity for life.
