Cee,

Crushing up the Nardil tablets was the only way that I could get the contents of the tablets to fit into the capsules that I used when I tried taking the medication in enteric capsules.

Do you think that the Nardil being crushed up has it's advantages in making it a better drug

Cee,

No, I don't think that crushing Nardil up does anything to make the medication more effective. Now, crushing up Nardil tablets and putting the crushed-up Nardil into enteric capsules as I did years ago may improve the effectiveness of the medication. At least it did for me, and for one other Psycho-Babble member, but I think that the reason why it worked for us was because of the enteric capsules, not because the Nardil was crushed up. Others on the Anxiety Community's Nardil forum who tried the enteric-capsule approach, however, did not find that the approach made Nardil more effective. I think it's possible that the reason why those on the Anxiety Community's Nardil forum didn't respond any better to enteric Nardil than they did to film-coated Nardil might have been because the phenelzine that they were using might have already undergone some chemical degradation before they put it into their enteric capsules, but that would just be a hypothesis of mine, and it doesn't have any solid evidence to back it up.

It would be nice if some researchers could do a study to compare film-coated Nardil with Nardil that's given an enteric coating before the phenelzine that's used gets exposed to the air or especially to any moisture, but so far, no such study has been done. There's just anecdotal evidence that I and one other Psycho-Babble member had good results, at least for a while, with putting Nardil into enteric capsules. And then there's the anecdotal evidence from the members of the Anxiety Community's Nardil forum who also tried the enteric-capsule approach without positive results. So, the available anecdotal evidence for the difference between film-coated Nardil and Nardil in enteric capsules is limited, and the results have been mixed. I'm just one of two people that I know of who felt the difference for myself (and you might be a third if you're also feeling a difference), but it would be hard to conclude anything meaningful from such limited anecdotal evidence.
