Clonazepam: Teva vs Roche

Posted by Phil on January 27, 2013, at 10:48:25

My pharmacy has had the benzo shuffle going on. Pink then yellow and back again. I currently have the Teva (yellow) which seems inferior to Roche. I know this happens but wondering if anyone else has had any problems. These are .5 mg.
No benzophobes please.

Not a benzophobe but can you get your pharmacy to order the brand you prefer. I found one that would. I got a different generic brand of valium and I think there is a difference. I want the green ones back. Phillipa

I don't know with clonazepam specifically (although I've taken it for over a decade) but people have complained that certain brands are inferior to others. So it's certainly possible. Although opinions are divided why this happens. But tell them you want Roche, which is the one I also take.

Hello,Phil. I refilled my roche klonopin with teve clonazepam .5mg pills. I paid $207 for roche and $25 for teva, 120 pills. So Ive been taking teva a few days, then roche. Because I have no insurance,I really want to like the teva. I plan to take the teva for 2 weeks straight and see if I notice any craziness. If not,Im switching. So far, I sleep just as well on teva and it controls my anxiety just like the roche.

This Teva gives me, or lets the heebie jeebies through. Not much but I can feel it. I haven't taken name brand Klonopin in 10? years. I loved the K cut out and the blue color. I'm pretty simple minded really. I don't have insurance either.

Well I cant say yet whether it will be a success. I really like roche and the little k cut too. But, my son is in college, and I could save so much money. We want to send him to Europe for his 21st bday-his dream is to have a dark pint in a pub in Dublin!(actually you can have a pint at 18 in Dublin). However,as you know, mental stability is a must at all costs,so,if I must pay for brand, I shall:)

From what I understand, Teva actually outsources the production of many of its medications to small manufacturers. I am not sure that the quality control of these manufacturers is overseen by Teva.

I don't remember a steep drop going generic but I may be more aware now after having been on it so long.
My parents sent me to Corpus Christi, TX, 30 miles away, to have a Schlitz in a Mexican pool hall. Kids these days get way too much IMO.
Of course, my parents had a huge alcohol budget to maintain.

I go to a small family owned pharmacy. I wondered if they made a mistake on the clonazepam only being $25,but they said it was correct. Yes,kids today do get too much. But I only had one,and decided I wanted him to travel as much as possible. To me, travel is so enriching, and really helps you to see the big picture.

Price checker...may not be 100% accurate but I think it's in the ballpark.

I've only left the country a few times and that was to a Mexico border town. Trust me, you don't want details.

Be sure and put the right mg on the left side. I don't think I need to tell you that.

Madness and mayhem is close. I'm surprised we never got beat up, shot, knifed, or thrown in jail. And that's just by the prostitutes. Yeah, I could write a book.

But mom, all the cool kids are doing it.

The Chicken Ranch was still open in those days. Some friends asked me if I wanted to go one time. I said no, I was 15. Then walked away thinking, we've got chickens here, why drive to La Grange? Idiots.

I probably shouldn't say all this stuff here but it was a long time ago. I was hardly unique.

Could it be that some of this is mind over matter? The FDA insist on bioavaliability studies before aproving generics onto the market

Absolutely not, I can feel it. My doc agreed with me this morning. Do a search on which is best, it's all over the internet.
I feel like I need to take 2 mg instead of 1.5 to calm the jitters.

The FDA is trying to ban ecigs and keep tobacco legal and have done no long term studies. I trust them as far as I can throw them.

Realy?

In Australia, 100 x genuian 2mg tabs of Roche Rivotril (the local brand name) sell for about $18 at the big box pharmacy chains

Do they give you Roche sometimes?

I recently requested either activas or qualitest based on patient reviews online. Otherwise they were going to give me mylan, and mylan make the worst Xanax.

Does anyone know activas or qualitest?

Jono, thats an amazing price on roche klonopin! ive checked everywhere here, except online, and my best price is $207 for 120 .5mg pills. If I go to Teva, I pay $25. Its crazy. I may just have to will my brain to accept the teva, its just saving so much money, and i think once i get used to the diff brand, i will be fine.

My doc gave me 3mg of Klonopin because she said that the generics (which are all you can get now) are, in fact, inferior, so it take a higher dose of the generic to equal he old brand name we used to get years ago.

Seems like all of Teva's meds suck. But, that is all that the pharmacies carry and all that insurance will cover.

I don't mind taking a higher dose to equal, in reality, what the dose should be.
