I am being treated for depression and was prescribed zeldox to counter act the weight gain from zyprexa, does that work? I am on zoloft and zopiclone to help me sleep. but I havent started the zyprexa and zeldox. zyprexa is a good med but i tried it before and even at 2.5mg i gain weight the next day!!feel constipated.anyway is it possible not to gain weight while having this combination? please help me Dr. Bob

Am I understanding this correctly that you will be taking both Zyprexa and Zeldox? There is little, if any, rationale in combining antipsychotics. Even less so for depression. And no, Zeldox won't counteract the weight gain from Zyprexa. I may not get whole picture here but if your prescriber thinks this is the way to go, fire him/her.
Why don't you try Zeldox first, without Zyprexa? Or Seroquel for that matter. A little background info could help./tensor

i noticed that while on zyprexa, once i started phentermine 37.5mg my brain stopped obsessing on food and i knew when to stop. it didnt make me loose any weight, but i did stop gaining.
you might want to ask doc about that.
