Canadian Pharmacy's

Posted by Phil on January 6, 2013, at 6:55:20

Manic, no sleep so when I when I went to Quackwatch I saw a pharmacy checker link at the bottom and clicked on it. I researched this stuff heavily when I went on disability. The first pharmacy that popped up(looks legit)Northwest Pharmacy is not legit under FDA regs. Not fond of FDA either.
I emailed QW at 3 am and Dr Stephen Barrett emailed me in 2 hours and said tell me precisely what you did and send screenshots.
I also sent him a screen shot from Legit Scripts showing that as of August these guys are not legit for US import.
*Out of 42,000 Canadian Pharmacy's, 257 are legit.*
My brain turned to mush for the two days I tried to find the real deal. Rogue pharmacy's have exploded exponentially in growth preying on desperate Americans.
Maybe the FDA owns Legit Script, who knows?

LegitScript and Pharmacy Checker really don't like each other. It did cross my mind that LS is just a tool for bigpharma. Hall of mirrors.

If anyone can't afford meds

The good doctor at Quackwatch gave me the name of the Canadian pharmacy he has used for five years. OK, here it is and some other stuff.

"The Canadian pharmacies listed on Pharmacy Checker are not rogue pharmacies. They are evaluated by PharmacyChecker staff and rated by hundreds of thousands of customers. They don't carry the VIPPs seal because the pharmacy organization that controls the seal is unwilling to consider Canadian pharmacies. That's the real fraud.
The degree of safety or risk may be related to the country of origin.**ADV Care** is the safest pharmacy because all of its drugs originate in the US or Canada. But it is more expensive. I have used it for 5 years with no problem. Drugs from the UK, NZ and Australia can be presumed to be OK. Turkey is probably OK. I don't know how to judge the rest.
There are several generic versions of quetiapine fumarate available.
You can call ADV Care to see whether they carry it.
If you are over 50 you can join AARP and use its drug discount plan -- might be better than anything else in the US."

I'm wound up like a yoyo. I'm going to take extra Seroquel tonight because I don't think I'll sleep if I don't.

Phil read Lars post he just posted in the airport. Sooo much information. And you must sleep. In the articles he posted sleep helps lose weight which I'd read before. And calorie restriction. So maybe hibernate? Once seriously I basically slept for two weeks during a trying time of decision making and woke feeling well. No joke. Phillipa
