i've noticed, of course with me too ... zyprexa makes your face round...usally also with body fat....its something it does with the metabolism. I've gotta get my face structured back, im on liquid fast right now...take a couple weeks to see drymatic loss....
does anyone else notice this?

As well as the diet, make sure you walk for atleast 45 minutes every day at a brisk pace.
Its hard when you're on drugs that cause weight gain, but I guess its better than the alternative.

When people first gain weight it often goes straight to their face and belly. From there it redistributes. Perhaps this is what is happening to you, or perhaps you are just noticing the weight gain more in your face?

I know in females first place is belly at least with me. I've never thought about the face before and weight gain? I didn't know the face really gained weight untill all other body parts had? Phillipa

Well, when I went off those meds, all the weight I had came off, and I got my old face back! So...I say just keep on going with your diet, and you will see results eventually. Good luck. herpills

yea...zyprexa causes it....it lowers blood sugar or something to make you crave carbs. I always used at night after I took zyprexa, chips...alot
Right now I've lost 5-6lbs and it is going down. Liquid fast is hard, but to get this embarrasing round face off....im ready for it.

no I havent gained weight since a couple months ago...my body stays at 235-240 to whatever I eat. I'm at 237 right now, going down...no food or bulk...liquid stuff is working but its gonna really be a tough problem after I get off 50lbs and then want to resort to my favorite foods.
Yes, in the belly...i have a slight belly, its just the face that I hate....going into the bathroom and seeing egg humpty dumpty himself...everyone that takes zyprexa with face problems to start a liquid diet...optifast, or im doing Natures Bounty Vitiman Shake...4 times a day.... for maybe a month and a half....that's what im going for....

hey phillipa....when I started gaining weight excess in 2006-2007 and then lost it with the Dexedrine diet in 2008, and then gained it back in 2009. It starts in your neck, the chin area...under it...it looks like your flubby, and then it moves to the cheeks, and then all over, changing the face structure....
i donnu some peopla are diffrent...i've seen this alot that people gain it in their upper legs and it gets like jelly looking...and also love handles....i have had loveies since 2006, even after the diets done previously...its hard to get them off me.
it starts in layers around the stomach and chest area....alot in most people

yea....i hate looking at a altered face...i want my structured bone face back.....still i gotta be on this liquid stuff for 2 months to lose it in the chest and the face...but the nightmare of getting it back is always scary, no pizza or cheezeburgers, all my favorites are gone...guess ill have to redo favorite things and eat like vegitatians do....LOL

Geodon causes very little weight gain if switching to that is an option? Its also much less likely to cause metabolic syndrome.
