I now take 45mg Nardil with 150mg of Lyrica. Unfortunately, I have not found any related informations to this combo yet.
If anyone has ever tried this combination, please share with your experiences. Thank you !

This combo is AWESOME! Nardil as you know is an MAOI but also inhibits enzyme that breaks down GABA. GABA is extremely important in calming down anxiety. For example: alcohol and benzos are both GABA agonists. They make GABA more effective.
Nardil works more effectively for GABA because it actually increases the amount of GABA available because it prevents the breakdown of some of it.
Lyrica works by increases GABA synthesis presynaptically.
So when you combine these two, you get lyrica producing more GABA presynaptically, then Nardil prevents this excess GABA from being broken down presynaptically and in the synapse. This boosts your transmission of GABA and really kills anxiety!!
My doctor had some sceptical views about this combination and also he has not seen any meaningful connection to take Nardil with Lyrica, but finally he decided to put me on it... Unfortunately, I have not got any positive profit from this combo yet.
There is also another problem, since my doctor has poor knowledge of Phenelzine (or better said no informations about these older MAOIs) and I am just his first patient on this drug at all. The Nardil is not marketed/approved in my country and I have to order it form different country.Do you know about any valuable informations or any research/study referring to this combination ?
