Hi there,
This is my desperate crying for help.
Can anybody suggest a medication off label for depression?
My Pdoc appointment is one week from today,
and I can bring any suggestions to my appointment.Slabicki

topamax, lamictal, nuerontin, dextroamphetamine, provigil, alot of stimulant class, lyrica....
there's a ton more just have to wait for another babbler to fill in the blank. Good luck in the session!

Thank you all for replying.
I've tried them all, there is no more choices
left for me - it's really depressing, but I have to live with it.I haven't tried Ketamine and GHB yet.

I agree with Viper on Tramadol. It pulled me out of my last depressive episode (and I was feeling completely hopeless). I take it w/ Lithium and Lexapro, and it's been a good combo for me.

Another is Xyrem....
check it out but its really hard to convice a doctor if you don't have the indications for it.

Can you please describe your symptoms and diagnosis?
Off label ritalin has worked very well for me but develops much tolerance as years go by.
Rhodiola Rosea (find it in any suppliment shop) was a miracle for energy, cognition, motivation, but only mild in terms of increasing my ability to enjoy anything. And it tends to lose some of it's effect as time goes by. Certain brands have different effects. Two brands made me quite aggressive (Sisu, and NOW). Arctic Root brand is the one used in studies and is available online. I cannot comment on it's efficiency since my tolerance has developed quite a bit. Sisu I used to use the most.
And yes I know most herbals have very mild effects and even many feel as if they do nothing but from the 15+ suppliments and herbals I have tried... none came close to the powerful and day 1 effect of Rhodiola Rosea.

Savella, Chlorpheniramine maleate, Maca, Gotu Kola. These have all had a positive effect on me.
