Is Trileptal as strong as Lithium? I couldn't tolerate 600mg of lithium but could tolerate 450mg. Not therapeutic level I know.
But I decided to drop lithium back to 150 2x a day and try going up on Trileptal to 300mg 2x a day.
I don't feel as calm this morning.
Maybe a little lithium is better? Or maybe people have to go much higher on Trileptal.
We'll see.

Don't change too many things at once neurotransmiters will get messed up. I'd think trileptal would be weaker than lithium since my understanding of lithium is it's the big guns for manic episodes. Phillipa

I'm sure your doctor gets paid handsomely for taking care of you. Perhaps you should allow him to do what you pay him for. Using partial dosages of drugs that you never even commit to is only wasting your time and upsetting your brain.

I found Trileptal to be weak compared to Lithium.
Please increase your Lithium!
