What to take that would work similarly.

Thanks!

Laney congrats if working can your doc get you some samples or do you qualify for med assistance. From what I've read it's unique. Phillipa

Maybe get it from India? I do that....$30ish monthly, including shipping.

When I was on it briefly, the pdoc give me a savings card--no copayment first month, $25 per month thereafter. Maybe yours could get one from a sales rep? From what I know, there isn't a similar med.

I can't give you websites here bc of Dr.Bob's policy. You can babblemail me or do a simple google search. There used to be websites that would review the online pharmacies so you could check them out before ordering to make sure you didn't get screwed.

Do be aware that shipments from India take a looooong time from some pharmacies. If you choose this route, you may need to do something--samples, pay out the a$$ @ a real pharmacy, something--to keep from running out.

There's also flupenthixol to consider. Older, "typical" neuroleptic. At normal doses, its nothing special, but at very low doses, its mildly stimulating. I guess kinda sorta like Abilify, but I think even at low doses the TD and EPS risks are higher than with low-dose Abilify. Then again...Abilify isn't exactly risk free. While you're online looking for an Indian supplier, you might also want to stock up on vitamin E (natural form) and C. If you have sleep problems, melatonin can help both with sleep and to prevent TD.

Anyway, I may as well tell you a few websites. I guess they might get blocked. They don't sell controlled substances or anything "fun" at all.

1)alldaychemist.com -- I don't think they have Abilify, but they have "partner" stores that might. Good prices, very good shipping.

2) Magicpharma--I think they do have Abilify. Shipping took forever. Good prices, low-cost (but sloooow) shipping.

Nothing acts similarly to Abilify in every way.

So, the question becomes, in what ways do you need a drug to work for you? What do you need it to do?

In what ways is the Abilify helping?

This is hard to describe. It has made me feel more positive and loving and optimistic. It has taken away the continual negativity. I "knew" something was changing. It's like I've mellowed out.

I also knew if I kept taking it, it would only get better.

Thanks Scott,

Laney
