I drink two bottles of the Lipton iced green tea a day and eat l0 dark chocolate truffles at night. lost taste and smell 8 years ago so can taste only sweet sour, bitter, salty. Hence the tea sweet and tangy, and chocolate for both the theobymine and antioxidant effects and hopefully a boost of energy. I wonder if the type of benzo makes a difference as take valium and .25 of xanax at night. I was told by the compounding pharmacist that it takes 4-6 weeks to develop whatever you need for the fish oil to work but it didn't? Phillipa

I have been taking fish oil for months, however, only recently have i begun taking it everyday, and i used to only take 1 cap, every once and awhile.I tried valium, felt low the next day, xanax felt like train hitting me, but klonopin was like being rocked to sleep in a cloud! Now it just controls my anxiety, keeps racing thoughts at bay. Forgot about ativan, had injections at er,now that calmed me down, but when I tried it daily, i would feel anxiety by afternoon, dont feel that with klonopin. What is your experience w/k?

My experience with klonopin wasn't good depressed me and felt suicidal and wasn't. At the time the doc wanted to switch me from xanax to klonopin. He switched me right back to xanax. But this was years ago so no idea what would be like now? Phillipa

I have recently switched back to clonazepam for the same reason. Lorazepam would wear off too early and leave me feeling anxiety in the evening.

With clonazepam I just feel the same all day. There is a wee bit of a downer feeling, but I also take fish oil (and suprisingly also cocoa and green tea).

Overall I am feeling pretty good, considering I was sleeping perhaps only 3 nights a week.

Is that when you become creepy? Just Kidding couldn't resist a bit of humor. I also wish I had the response of above with this combo. Phillipa

I think if i was on too high of a dose, the klonopin might depress me.What dose did u try? Valium did make me feel low, however, I tried it when I was already sliding down the mtn

Do you take any other meds w/klonopin? I wonder if taking the brand has somethng to do w/it working so well for me? I tried generic and it sent me into a tailspin. Yes, cocoa and green tea are a must! I also take an epsom salt/baking soda bath every night, and read good books before bed.I think people that have been thru what we all have, create rituals once they come thru the episode. These rituals keep us feeling like we can go on,and I pray every night that I will continue to improve, someone up there must be listening!

First the poster name John David was on klonopin. What a great guy. In the archieves I'm sure as he was the original first to try emsam. He only took namebrand klonopin as his doc felt this was much better than generic. At the time I took it first was also namebrand. Honestly don't remember the dose though. Years ago. Now when Robert came here we corresponded and I took 2mg of klonopin as wanted to try emsam. I tolerated it fine then. Also name brand. At the time was taking generic valium only. Went back to valium 15mg at time. Not because of klonopin. Really I should be on ativan as luvox interacts with both valium and xanax makes them higher in dose. Phillipa

Gadchik,

Can you explain the tailspin when you tried the generic klonopin?

I've always taken generic.

Thanks!

I asked my pharmacist for Teva, this summer when roche had that shortage, and I couldnt get brand. So the pharmacist didnt give me teva,I got activis? Well, after a few days,I felt odd, dizzy, anxious, racing thoughts.I then found my stockpile of brand klonopin, and started on it,and soon felt better.I think if you get used to brand and you take something even a little diff.,if youre sensitive like me,you get off kilter.Looking back,I wish I had just started out on a generic, now I pay too much.I may try teva tho someday. It scared me when roche didnt have klonopin available this past summer. What is the generic that you take?

I havent but thought it might be something to try if I get depressed again. Its so expensive,at least the naturemade brand is

Gadchik,

I am taking the TEVA brand. But I'm sure I've taken every generic they have as I've been on it for like 17-18 years.

Naturemade huh? So not some expensive brand. I'll try it.

Thanks for the info

Laney you are also a long time benzo user. Had your dose also remained the same over the years? I also feel brand is better. Phillipa
