doxepin dosing and scheduling

Posted by floatingbridge on April 15, 2011, at 18:53:04

Hey. 10mg of doxepin last night was too strong. I see it sold as silenor at doses of 3-4mg. I'll try that.

Question: can I take as needed for tapering and pain? (At night of course.)

Will I incur withdrawal if taken nightly, and how intense might the withdrawal be?

Thank you.

Well, it is a tca, and I don't know about them. Today's response was not good, so I'm ambivalent. Then again, maybe the lesser dose.... Then again, another med....

I lost a day to it. Reminded me of response to flexeril, but not as extreme.

Thanks for Googling :)

I'm done with it. Doxepin goes back to the doctor.

I tried about 2-3mg (hard to be sure when opening capsules), and again, horrible sleep :(

It's wearing off. Only two days lost.

Not sure. I haven't googled. Are you looking at that lacimectemy (oh such awful spelling!). Or is that a disc replacement?

Instability for you, too? :(

Yeah. I don't think I have osteoporosis. That definitely complicates the situation. Then again, I'm still in the dark about how my own situation will be reccomended to proceed (another funny sentence!).

I'll let you know what I hear or read.

Hang tough,

FB thanks that discotomy sounded good but the osteoporosis means brittle bone. Ugg. Please let me know what you find. Love Phillipa
