The opposite of me

Posted by Bob on April 6, 2011, at 20:40:23

Sometimes, being the way I am, I feel like I am surrounded by people like this who hardly ever need to sleep and are always functioning at 110%.

Bob, this reminded me of what I heard somewhere about being an Olympic athlete. They may not and perhaps are almost certainly not *the* best in their field. They can, however, perform under intense pressure that would usually completely crumple most people. I have trouble crossing a room at a party or getting up to throw Kleenex into the waste paper basket of my shrink's office.

Think of the barefoot runners of North America pre-discovery (used ironically) or today. No medals to show, though.

I like to think the world needs us all, somehow.

Of course, I need that written on my hand to be able to remember it.

(Especially lately, stuck in bed off and on all day, awake w/ insomnia at night. Grrrr.)

Phillipa,

I'm not napping :( I can't. I need to lie down because of fatigue and or pain. Then I can't sleep at night, either.

I can't sleep. Not even with sonata.

I feel very cranky :(

Hi Phillipa,

Email is so affectless. I'm not cranky with you. I had an awful night. I just wanted you to know. Thanks for asking after me. I appreciate that you're here.

I'm going offline and take a hot bath. Hope it helps.

Are you up early?

fb the twitchy
