I'm recovering from drug abuse (as they say) and it wasn't a triger for me.

I think its pretty pathetic that you are trying to rationalize your original post to make it sound like some act of rational necessity. Just reread it for yourself.

Sure... if we want to lower the standards of this board, to a bunch of people talking about how best to get quick highs - at the expense of long term mental stability, then be my guest. I just think it is completely contrary to the overall goal of this board - to help people get well.

Do I? Reread the post for yourself. Yeah, we're all really interested in how snorting benzos while stoned induces an "oooh wow" state of mind, with all the sensual "visual trails" and activation of "third eye" and all. Yeah, sorry for confusing the intent...what was I thinking??

That may be, but who is the post intended to help? How? OTOH can you not see how it could be a trigger for somebody?

In addition, *snorting* benzodiazepines is particularly dangerous for people while intoxicated on other substances. The blood level of the benzo rises very quickly hence the person can die very quickly. Promoting this under the guise of a recipe for a cheap thrill is not at all supportive.

I don't think this thread is a very productive one for this board or any other here on babble.

Linkage, why are you getting involved in this back and forth nonsense?

Please be sensitive to their feelings of others.

But please don't take this personally, either, this doesn't mean I don't like you or think you're bad people, and I'm sorry if this hurts you.

Morgan, thanks for trying to help this time.

More information about posting policies and tips on alternative ways to express yourself, including a link to a nice post by Dinah on I-statements, are in the FAQ:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#enforce

Follow-ups regarding these issues should be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration. They, as well as replies to the above posts, should of course themselves be civil.

Thanks,

Bob

I never expected to get blasted to bits on this post. You all know where I wanted it to go- the use/abuse board. It was also a simple finding. Something i wanted to share and why not? I doubt anyone sensible & open minded enough didn't understand what I was saying.
But blasted is what I got. Thanks chaps. I feel real good now...

Yes, he really has avoidant personality disorder and in a very bad way. Trust me on this one. And although this thread has taken a turn for the worse, Medamorphosis used to be a prominent poster offering help to everyone. He has a great knowledge of meds and was more than happy to share that knowledge with anyone in need.

And please Maxime.....thats exactly what Medamorphosis wants - i.e. to make a "big deal" about "leaving the board" so that everybody feels sorry for him. In spite of med's outlandish claims, I was not picking on him, I was picking on this post. I've never had a problem with his posts in the past.

I responded with criticism to his original post, and I get extreme cursing, threats of embarassment, followed by accusations sending harrassing babblemails (which dr-bob could confirm never happened - at least by me), followed by accusaions that the whole board is against him, and trying to embarrass him, followed by threats of "legal action".

To be completely honest, I don't know how my comments really warranted that response.
