I don't know how people can augment Klonopin + Nardil and still be sociable. All Klonopin does is make me want to fall asleep so I can't be social. I think i might aswell not even be on the klonopin, anyone else augment nardil with klonopin w/out getting tired? Because ontop of it Nardil can also make you tired.

Hi angels78,
I augment Nardil with 1mg of clonazepam(Klonopin). I take my dosage at night and clonazepam has a long half life so once per day dosing is not a problem. You do not have the up and down feelings of the shorter acting benzos.The sleepiness side effect of clonazepam wears off fairly quickly. But the affect on GABA is still there. This medication will help with social anxiety when used to augment Nardil.
The problem I have with clonazepam is short term memory loss. I cut down from 2mg to 1mg because of this and plan to go to .5mg when some recent stressors are over. My Dad is dying and now is not a good time to reduce an anti-anxiety medication.
Eventually I want to eliminate the clonazepam completely. When I have done this in the past the last .5mg is the hardest. I will just keep cutting the pills up and take a long time to titrate off the medication. It is not that difficult, even after long term use, if done very slowly.

Hey thanks Jedi. I'm going to start trying to take my 1mg of Klonopin at night, I think the half life is 35 hours, so it should still be effective the following day. I'll give it a try and hopefully it helps with the tiredness.
