Can someone please post their experiences with Moclobermide, the reversible MAOI (RIMA)? From what I've read, it doesn't have the same track record of efficacy as the traditional MAOIs, but its equivalent or as good or greater than for SSRIs.

Moclobemide was the first med I tried, and which I subsequently remained on for six months. I found it effective for anxiety, but it did eventually induce apathy/lethargy in me, so I decided to come off it.
There was some start-up anxiety, but on the whole I found it really tolerable.I can't compare it to SSRI's because I've never remained on one longer than 8 weeks.
I'm not sure how effective it would be for depression (particularly in more severe instances), though the dose I was on was supposedly pretty low according to psychiatrists I've seen since.

Yes, but it was so long ago you'll have to bear with me. I remember that it didn't help much at all until xanax was added on. I also remember it was the combination of both drugs together too. Once the Aurorix was stopped 3 months later, the xanax didn't work as well. It was just over 15 years ago.
