I smoked a bong one time and it was laced with something. After whatever it was left my system I wasn't able to sleep and now I have to take sedatives for sleeping. I still have no idea what was really in that bong. What do you think? What would do that?

How do you know it wasn't just the weed. Marijuana can have profound different effects on people.

How long ago was that? It could have been sprinkled with cocaine or meth. People can roll a joint and add cocaine to it and call it a "primo".
No offense because I believe in not judging others but why are you smoking weed? I know it is legal in some states for medicinal purposes but if that was the case then you would have had your own supply and then the idea of someone lacing your supply would be very unlikely. I do not know what your medical condition is but weed can really mess with someone's health depending on the issue. I only say this because I want to encourage you to be careful. Again don't think that I am judging you, only advising you to not take illegal drugs as they can really cause some permanent damage.

It was several years ago. I have been clean for 5+ years. It was during my university years. I STILL have to take sedatives to sleep. Crazy part is that someone from my own community is the one who gave me the bong that night. Looks some of my own people don't like me very much. :(

Really?! Five years ago! Listen, unless you are some evil, mean, hateful, jugdmental, serial killer, I don't think that someone would hate you so much as to mess you up permanently. I think they might have been trying to give you a good time and things went wrong. Talk to your dr about it or see sleep specialist and tell them the truth well, see what they can do first. LOL!
