I have decided to stop Zyprexa. I've only been on 5mg for 6 months so hopefully it won't be too hard. I will keep it on hand for crisis situations only. I have started Remeron 30mg, 4 nights ago so my sleep is good. Zyprexa is a great drug, but it leaves me emotionally flat and I feel like my life is passing me by. I want to participate more with my family (wife and 2 daughters) so hopefully the Remeron will help pull me out of my depression. I will continue with zoloft and lamictal until I see my p/doc in 3 weeks. Just thought I'd share.

I'm weening off Zyprexa as well. I might be having a difficult time with it. It's been 5 or 6 months for me also. I also feel flat and lifeless. Then again that could be the depakote.

better get a bigger pair of pants buddy, you will hit the food hard on mirtisapam, even if you dont you will swell.you no thats the med they give if you have anorexia

Yeah well what about Zyprexa huh? Zyprexa makes you want to eat everything in sight and makes you gain a ton of weight. I hadn't heard that about Remeron but will keep it in mind if my p doc ever suggests it.
