Hi Everyone! This is my first day on Prozac (20mg) after a year on Effexor (lately, 100mg.) I feel kind of dizzy and naueated, but not so badly. Also, I have a little headache, but then again I didn't sleep very well last night... Has anybody gone through this change? My doctor decided to put me on Prozac as an attempt to see if I get fewer sexual side effects...

Effexor is notorious for it's withdrawal, that is, for most folks. If you start or keep feeling bad, please tell your doc b/c there might be temporary add-ons that could help. The prozac should help. I did mine as a self-taper with nothing else (not smart).
Anyone else taper off effexor?

yes i tapered of effexor , with the help of a lady who had her own site for the drug , it involved tapering slow , herbs ,an over the counter sleep aids, valerian , lemonbarm, niacin,magnesium. then 5hp
