Latest thinking on Mirapex

Posted by uncouth on June 6, 2009, at 12:11:08

So anyone on the up and up regarding the latest thinking on Mirapex? I just procured some from overseas, hoping a low dose at night will help my restless legs and a low dose during the day target symptoms of anhedonia. However, I'm also taking Geodon which is a dopamine antagonist -- does that mean they will work against each other? What's the right dosage of Mirapex? Anyone have any experience as a primary or adjunctive antidepressant?

Basically, whatever you got, spill it on this thread please :)

Not yet, feeling very up and down, it's very difficult, starting to do CBT but it's very hard to do too, my life is a mess right now, just started Luvox 200mg to help with the obsessive part of my depression though I wanted to try milnacipran but we'll see how LUvox goes. I think I definitely need some NE inhibition though

Uncouth, I'm very interested in what babblers post about mirapex. Was thinking of it as an add-on if dexedrine doesn't work out, only because I think I've found that dopamine is a large part of my treatment puzzle.

CBT is difficult when one is not feeling well--hoping the best for you,

Candace

no, feel nothing. switched from clomipramine which i couldn't tolerate, only my 2nd day at Luvox CR 200mg taken at night though. I do have high hopes, going to give it two weeks before I decide to augment with mirapex or strattera.

also quitting smoking at the same time with the patch. wish me luck. i'm either going to kill myself or beat this depression and addiction within the next 2 weeks i fear.

Guess first time I was on it it was 50mg first dose tolerated it next morning another 50mg and at night. Was in the hospital. Also on ativan at the same time. Oh I do wish you luck. You know where to find me. Love Phillipa

Go to askapatient.com and revolutionhealth.com. There you can read what users of any drug have to say about it. How well it worked, side effects, and an overall 1-5 score rating.

Revolutionhealth is a bit hard to navigate. The easiest way to get the page you want is to type in the google searchbox something like "mirapex revolutionhealth reviews rating". Askapatient.com is easy.

I did reviews those sites a couple months ago on the dopamine agonists. All I remember is they all scored very low and they all had some remarkably weird sometimes scary side effects. For restless legs syndrome, they worked excellent at very low doses.

This is the end of the thread.
