Hi fellow Babblers... been a while since Ive posted but Ive been reading and learning.. I get bouts of SP so I dont always write.. My Parnate 90mg/day is Creating Insane Insomnia. I currently take Seroquel 25-75mg/night and trazodone50mg and whatever antihistamine I can get my hands on and often 2 mg of klonopin.. Im becoming immune to these even though they are long term remedies for many people with insom.
Does anyone have experience with other sleeping meds? the ZZZ's like Sonata, Lunesta, Rozerem, Halcion(ya pretty addictive maybe good to cycle tho).. I have no experience with theses but im desperate to sleep.. Zopiclone is not so sweet because of the bad taste and I get immune to it too.. Anyway if anyone is on the new zzz's Id love to hear how its worked or just some info or experiences.

maybe you should reduce your dose and use an instant release stimulant during the day. also have you tried gabapentin or pregabalin they work differently and improve quality ov sleep.

Sonata, Lunesta, Rozerem aren't available in Canada as far as I know. Wish they were.
Also, try to make sure that you take your last dosage of Parnate BEFORE 3 pm so that it doesn't affect your sleep as much.

75mg seroquel and 50mg trazodone are rather small doses. You may want to up the dose on one or both. Maybe 100-150 on trazodone and or 200 on the seroquel.

Well, I'm all warm and fuzzy inside...just like the old days, lol! The only solution I know of, in addition to the usual, is to set your alarm without fail and take your first dose at around 8am, then take second dose at around 1pm. No sleeping in between, and I don't know if you drink, ehem, but that will greatly interfere with not just your sleep cycle, but also your response to the Parnate. You never did say if your taking that all in one dose....please tell me your not.

That would be a great idea. Dammit im weird. More then 50mg trazodone/day and I get dizzy/head whooshes. I gotts stop seroquel because I know it makes me blah and more anxious the next day because im all sedated and cant think straight.
But ya those two are perfect for a long term, non-addictive sleep regime. Ive been using that combo for months now. The sedation and dizzyness is just too much.

i take my last two pills at bed, so i don't sleep in so much. i'm not sure if that works though, its more a hope.
