rage: in dire need of advice

Posted by Elanor Roosevelt on January 13, 2009, at 22:08:30

is rage a result of adrenaline not abating

benzos don't have any effect

5mg of ambien will help somewhat
what's that about?

what is the chemical story on rage?

some ADs have helped in the past but i can't go there now

i have to get my head on straight quickly

I've gotten rage, which is totally out of character for me, from serotonin meds like Lexapro, herbs such gingko or sjw, norepinephrine meds such as cymbalta or ritalin. So my instinct tells me it is not any one particular neurotransmitter, but rather some receptor being overstimulated by too much of something. If that is true, then receptor blockers such as antipsychotics should work well for rage, and indeed they do most often.

but don't you think that sometimes rage and aggression gets triggered by stress but then the gas peddle gets stuck?
