I felt like I was hyjacking...
> And I only thought it was hypertension as had to monitor newly delivered Moms on mag sulfate drips. I told them I didn't know a thing about the mg sulfate except room quiet might seize. Love Phillipa
~~~ Technically, the main feature and problematic beginning is hypertension. The term toxemia is actually a misnomer from the days when it was thought the condition was caused by toxic substances in the blood. The illness is more accurately called preeclampsia or PIH before the convulsive stage and eclampsia afterward.
The etiology of the syndrome remains poorly understood. MagSo4 remains as a treatment and delivery (no longer being pregnant) is the cure.
Hi almost perfect!!!!! Joke. Anyway other than the olden day description believe it or not knew the other stuff guess cause L&D was hired into right after school full days Mon-Fri cause of the scholarships and 3.9!!!! Psych was my second love and no one could figure out how they connected to another. My Definition was new life for babies and people for psych. Love Phillipa ps thanks for answering. And that Mom did fine once she'd delivered. Just didn't feel qualified as Christmas Eve and no staff anywhere. They were delivering first baby ever in that hospital in a pool both Mom and Dad in the water. Do They still do that?
~~~ Yes... the different ways Mothers choose to labor and deliver seems to continue to, uh, expand.
This is the end of the thread.
