ive gained 30 lbs on abilify..is this normal? has any one else?

my doctor just put me on topamax to try and stabilize my weight hopefully it works abilify is the most effictive med ive ever been on

i heared topamax can cause anxiety while helping you, just be aware of that side effect

well its treating psychosis in me somewhat, but i have side effects


zyprexa, clozapine making things worse, so i guess i am really f*cked up

dont give up ive been on goedone seroquil respodone depokote litium, limictal you name it, before abilify my doc was talking electro shock treatment....

yes , but dont give up they will hit on the right medication it just takes time and the right doctor. gotta jet, dinner is a cooking...nice talking to you good luck and i will catch oyu on here anotherr time thanks for the input

What doses of Abilify, Lamictal, and Topamax?
Were you underweight before starting Abilify?

Although you're weight is up, you're still within the normal range. Topamax, in some people, causes cognitive slowing . . . so just be aware of that.

Abilify (along with Geodon) are the 2 atypical antipsychotics least likely to cause weight gain. In your case, it certainly did though.

Hi sorry to hear about the weight gain, i have been on it for 3 yrs 20 mgs and haven't gained any weight with it....

You should check your blood sugar on abilify. It made me very hypoglycemic. Causing me to eat like no tomorow.
