I am about to start taking Seroquel XR for anxiety. Does anyone know about taking this drug? Is it worth it? How does it make you feel during the day? I am going to take I think 200mg every night...does it make it hard to get up and get going in the morning?
I used to take Seroquel but had to stop taking it because I starting to tremor and shake but that was a long time ago.
Any thoughts and opinions on how the drug is working for you would be great.
Thanks.

200mg is a fairly high dose, you may want to start with a lower dose.

Yes agreee with Link but if you couldn't take the short acting why would long acting be any different. Just a question? Love Phillipa

It isn't actually particularly different once its built up into the system. The concept that Seroquel IR is only useful for 6 hours is not particularly true as the plasma value is the more important thing and that takes time to build up.

> Thanks.Hi Amanda29,
Don't worry. I'm taking the XR version of Seroquel too. The formulation is great and very smooth. On the side effect side, i would say that 200 mg of XR is like taking 50 mg of regular version. I suggest to you to take your Seroquel after supper. Thus its peak effect will be around midnight and you will be fresh and sharp during the morning.
Good luck with it! Max.
