Clonazepam Klonopin withdrawl?

Posted by AdamCanada on May 25, 2008, at 3:44:47

I first switched Ritalin to Dexedrine for 4 days. Things seemed to be fine. I noticed and improvement. the 4th day was not as profound as day 3 though.

Then I changed my Clonazepam 0.5mg(Klonopin) to Ativan (Lorazepam) 0.5mg

I have been told Ativan is more mild than the klonopin so if i am feeling significantly worse now after 8 days or so on this entire switch... it was really downhill on day 5-8... then is it Klonopin withdrawl?

Any experiences on how long it lasts and what it feels like? Any insight or possible effects would be appreciated as well as any big differences between the two??

Because I feel dull, dim headed, sometimes I been very hot headed, like my head is heating up, heart beating, body warmth, yet i cannot help but think maybe the dexedrine is doing something wrong because these bad effects are sometimes so strong.

Plus my eyes look even blacker than normal. I look like a druggie. I look very unhealthy.

I'm not sure about the strength differences between the two. I think that would be more dose dependent. However Klonopin does have a longer halflife and stays around longer. Perhaps the differences in the duration/length of action of Ativan vs. Klonopin is a factor.

Do you have dark colored eyes or are your pupils dilated? If so I'd think it might be the add med. Phillipa

Dexedrine is just strong and you're wired. Theres not a chance in hell you're going to get withdrawals from .05 of klonopin. Dex is very potent but gets the job done much for efficently than ritalin or adderal.

Curious why Adderall was dropped for the dex? In terms of how your eyes look, Ativan has that effect, not sure about Klonopin. They are both benzo's, but yes, K has a longer half-life than A.

Sure there will be withdrawl symptoms from discontinuing a .5 mg dose of Klonopin, which is the dose the poster mentioned. .05mg is another story.
