After a couple of weeks on 75mg of Nardil, it kicked in and gave me the happiest, most productive few weeks of my life.
I realize that at least some of this was the initial Nardil euphoria, but since then, the effects have been waring off more and more and I'm back to being pretty depressed with barely any positive effects on my social anxiety.
It has taken just just 1 to 1.5 months for the Nardil to poop out on me and I'm REALLY REALLY desperate now.
I'm still on 75mg/day and I'm just confused as hell about what to do now and increasingly sad and depressed about my prospects.
Can anyone advise on what to do here? Raise the dose to 90mg?
I thought I had this miracle drug just a couple of months ago and now I have nothing!

I'm sorry the antidepressant effect is wearing off so soon for you. I've been on Nardil for most of eleven years and it always fights off the Major depression. In fact I'm in the process of slowly lowering my dosage to try to eliminate some of the long term side effects.Here are some suggestions, some will require a psychopharmocologist or a very good psychiatist. Some of these I've tried, others I haven't. Some of these suggestions are contraindicated:
1. Raise the dosage to 90mg
2. Add a TCA, such as notriptyline
3. Add lithium
4. Add modofinal
5. Add methelphenidate
6. Add clonazepam alprazolam, or bromazepam for SP
7. Add bupropion
8. Add Lamictal
9. Thyroid medications
10. ECT
There are many others, Nardil is a good medication.

Like everybody told me when I keep complaining about my life "ncrease your dose to 90 mg" . Tell your doctor first of course
Im not an expert by the way , Ive just have been on Nardil about 6 years after tried all the others drugs on the maket , this was the only one that has helped me the most

ufff , well Im not.
These are holidays I should have gone to my home with my family but I stayed here and I have passes all these days locked in my house.
I have no idea why but Im thinking a lot in my exgirlfriend . I miss her so much these days
She is already dating someone in US or so I heard I saw a picture of them on the net. That hurt me so much.
I wish I could have some friends to hang around and then met new girls or more friends. I feel very lonely.
what do you suggest me ? Im not good talking

I am no expert but I know much from research, and experience.First I think raising your dose to 90 mg would be a good idea, and give it 2-4 weeks. Hopefully the side efx will be tolerable.
Second I would add a psycho-stimulant, Dexedrine,Provigil, or Concerta (ritalin). This was standard practice (dexedrine) back when. When on Parnate 30-90mgs, we added provigil 100-400mgs. This helped with depression and energy/productivity. This augments the maoi, combats fatigue and weight gain side efx from maoi, and even helps a little with the notorious orthostatic hypotension from maois. These can be very helpful.
Third which is most logical to me, not from experience with maois, is too add lithium. It can have a robust effect when combined with some antidepressants. Once on a regimn of remeron, which wasn't working at all and making me very anxious, we added 300 lithobid and literally a day later I had never felt better in my whole life. Felt normal, depression free, social anxiety non-existent. Unfortunatley it only lasted for 4 days, have some theories now why that happened.
So I think for many with subtheraputic responses to treatments, lithium augmentation of the right drug for the right person, can acheive remission or close to it as opposed to the unfortunate standard in american psychiatry of being satisfied with subtheraputic treatment.
I am considering going on Nardil and most likely augmenting it with Lithium and dexedrine.
