I just started 30mg/day of cymbalta on friday and since have experienced anxiety/nervousness, disturbed sleep(waking many times throughout the night), headaches, and trouble having orgasms (It takes me at least an hour to climax if I do at all). Is this a sign that I should stop taking the medication or will these side effects pass over time?

The thing I found with Cmybalts is that I couldn't predict whether I would be tired or wired. Somedays it picked me up, or days I was ready to sleep. I take it before I sleep now as it doesn't keep me awake but it used to.. I take 120 once a day.. Your dose is low.. Try to stick it out for a few more days..Take it in the morning and see how that works.. I didn't have sexual side effects but i wonder if that will pass when the anxiety does. Overall, Cymbalta probably saved my life. It took away suicial thoughts almost immediately but it does make me feel kind of flat emotionally. I don't think I had headaches either but might that be from the anxiety?? good luck,, Not every drug is good for evrybody but I would give it more time.

Most of my side effects passed after 3-4 weeks on Cymbalta.
I now take both Cymbalta and Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin offsets the tiredness I got from just Cymbalta.
Good luck - each person's side effect profile is different but it takes 3-5 weeks to really see what will pass and what will remain.
