Provigil works again..!

Posted by Mishal on November 20, 2007, at 2:50:33

Provigil had stopped working for the past three days which really was frustrating. But as usual it starts working again today.

Three days would have been a long wait for an impatient customer, but I hung on optimistically. I wonder many of the Provigil poop out stories found here are the upshot of user impatience!

Hang on there if you are on Provigil and find it cease to work. Most probably it would be a short hiatus. Like I have been experiencing for the past couple of months since I have been on this med.

Could you also continue to give your progress on trivastal.I wonder if trivastal would be a good adjunct to an ssri to counter some of the sides.

Just want to tell you Trivastal Retard is an excellent add on to Prozac. At first I thought I would wean off Prozac right after starting Trivastal but stopping Prozac was a blunder. It brought back panic attacks.

What Trivastal restored is what Prozac took away. The significant apathy Prozac caused is nonexistent now. Anhedonia has left for good almost to the point of annoyance as Trivastal keeps me awake late at night reading, watching TV, surfing the net. Often I am smiling to myself as pleasure is found in silliest matters too.

Sex was bad during the first week, but as weeks gone it is in its peak now. Little bit winding up as I am too much absorbed in sex. But still I hang on because not having any libido at all was the problem for many years. I think the restoration of normal libido after many years of absence would have affected me in a wrong way to get more excited on it.

What more do you like to know?

I don't believe you mentioned the prozac in the mix or I missed it. What does prozac add to the mix outside of preventing panic attacks? The biggest issue with ssris is the eventual lowering of dopamine which is the pleasure chemical of the brain. Seems like an ssri plus a dopamine agonist such as this might give a more complete antidepressant effect similar to an maoi without all the restrictions.Even Nardil which is predominantly serotogenic still slightly increases dopamine rather having it lowered such as with an ssri.

Hi bulldog2,

I have to be on Prozac because of the dependence I formed all the way through taking SSRIs for a long time. Its additional advantage on panic attacks plus a moderate activating effect, all these keep me popping up that small capsule each morning.
cheers.
