I'm pretty sure I'm losing my mind

Posted by Kravoz on November 17, 2007, at 11:41:52

Nothing makes sense; my perception of reality is totally warped. I don't know what to do.

I was inable to think clearly and felt like that.

My doctor ran a blood test and found my Methylmalonic acid (MMA) was really high. I had to get B12 shots once a week for a month, then once a month there after.

I always notice that after the B12 shot my thinking becomes very lucid.

I you bring the B12 thing up to your Doctor insist that they check your MMA not just the serum B12. My serum B12 was within the normal range.

The MMA test is more sensitive for checking B12 deficiency because it detects it at tissue level.

Sounds like a fairly rare deficiency considering B12 is sythesized in the gut and is always added to fortified foods.

Sounds like a strong self-evaluation. What about your perception is "warped"? Do you dissasociate? Its also a negative statement, equally a sign of depression. Being truly psychotic tends to have a specific mode of disorganized thinking.
